YOUTH OF HOPE
Way back when-when we were
small
Our parents seemed so very tall.
And looked so old, what could they know
Bout how to make us strong to grow?
So the years, they came and
went.
To school and church we were always sent
To learn what we would need to know
For mind, body, and spirit strong to grow.
Hear they stand before us now
Ready to serve, and take a vow.
There still is much they need to know
To get through life and strong to grow.
They're like we were way back
then.
What could we know of young women and men?
We found out and they'll come to know
The Lord will help them strong to grow.
Yes, here they stand with hopes
and dreams;
with parents, pastor, and teacher. It seems
That they are our future, in search of the truth-
God's loving children, our hope, our youth.
